This electrical tape is perfect for splicing. It's made of 7 Mil PVC film with a rubber - based adhesive that offers excellent dielectric strength. It comes in a variety of colors.

To use this electrical tape, first clean the area where you'll be applying it. Then start wrapping the tape tightly around the splice or the area you want to insulate, overlapping each layer slightly. Make sure to keep the tape straight as you wrap. When you're done, cut the tape with a sharp knife or scissors. Keep the tape in a cool, dry place to maintain its adhesive quality. Avoid exposing it to extreme heat or cold. If the tape gets dirty, you can gently wipe it with a dry cloth. Don't stretch the tape too much during use as it may affect its insulating properties.
